The use of glass as a floor panel or stair tread is becoming increasingly popular as a means of introducing natural daylight into interiors and opening up areas that would otherwise be left in the dark. Glass combinations are designed for pedestrian use only and must be installed in adapted structural supports.

Key products include:

SGG LITE-FLOOR is a laminated glass floor panel, which normally comprises a minimum of three glass sheets which are laminated together.  All panels are configured to meet national standards and safety requirements for each application.

SGG SECURIT is a toughened safety glass. It has undergone a special heat treatment to increase its strength and resistance to impact. In fact it is approximately five times more resistant than normal glass. As an example a piece of 8mm toughened glass will be able to withstand a steel ball weighing 500gr dropped from a height of 2 metres.
